A nanometer is 10-9 meters. A number that has is altering the very fabric of our world. Now, October 9th, or 10/9, has been dedicated  as National Nanotechnology Day  to celebrate everything nano. 2017 marks the second year for National Nanotechnology Day which was created to raise awareness of nanotechnology, highlight how it is used in products that enrich daily life, and explore  the challenges and opportunities it holds for the future. In its inaugural year, numerous organizations and academic institutions held events to commemorate and celebrate nanotechnology. This year, the National Nanotechnology Coordination Office is promoting fun activities and competitions, such as the 100 Billion Nanometer Dash, EnvisioNano, Nano Film, and Nanotechnology Podcasts.
